仮定法未来

１）If S should 原形、S would 「原形」または「命令文」
⭐ありえない（でも１％くらいはあり得る）
shouldは、「あり得るだろう〜」というイメージが良いか？

倒置

仮定法のIfは省略できる。省略した目印に「倒置（疑問系の語順）」になる。
※倒置できるのは"Where / Had / Should"のみ！

使用例として、英字新聞などでifを省いてスペースを確保したいときなどに使用。
普通にバリバリ使用される。

仮定法過去の倒置
If s were〜, S would 原形

• > Were s 〜、S would 原形

例）If I were a bird, I would〜

• > Were I a bird, I would〜

仮定法過去完了の倒置
If s had p.p.〜, S would have p.p.

• > Had s had p.p.〜, S would have p.p.

仮定法未来の倒置
１）If s should 原形, please〜など

• > Should s 原形, please〜など

２）If s were to 原形, S would 原形

• > Were s to 原形, S would 原形

⭐時制の公式は、口になれるまでスラスラ言えるぐらいになれるように慣らす！

第４講　仮定法（２）

チャプター１

ifなし仮定法
仮定法なのだが、ifがないが仮定法になる文が存在する。
そのパターンは以下
１）would、couldが存在
２）if節の「代用表現」を探す

if節の代用表現
（１）if節 -> 「副詞句・副詞」になったパターン
①with / without
without = But for

②不定詞
③副詞（時・場所など）
④otherwise

（２）if節 ->「名詞」になったパターン
①無生物 S
②A + 名詞 would〜

ex) A wise man would not do such a thing.
=> if he were a wise man, he would not do such a thing.

ex) The night was so quiet that even a leaf might have been heard to fall

③名詞 and 〜

（３）if節 -> 「消滅」のパターン
"She couldn't make it. She would have loved to come but she couldn't get the time off," I explained.

チャプター２

(1) I wish
I wishの後は、仮定法の過去関係（過去形、過去完了）

cf) hopeはあり得ること。wishはあり得ないこと、妄想や願い（EXILEの I wish for youはこれ）

I wishの同意表現
⭐If only / I'd rather〜

感想

It's about time S 過去形（もうそろそろ〜する時間だ）が日常表現かなり使える！！！
ex) It's about time we had supper
※過去形しか使用されない。今現在の反対（本当は違うけど、今はもう〜する時間だ）なので
仮定法過去（つまり過去形）しか使用できない。
